Burdock leaves collected from the Cashmere WA studio. I used them fresh instead of my usual process of freezing them first. Because the veining is not as detailed, the open marks left me room to create my own design on each leaf. Embellished with Daniel Smith Extra Fine iridescent watercolours. These highlights makes this painting shimmer as you move your eyes across the piece.
